The guy I bought it from had two other neon and said this was dohc. Weird. He let me drive his 95 2door no a/c,no ps,2.5 exaust , 3.0 cai,52mm tb,and head work, cam, computer and that thing was a blast to drive. Besides the no a/c and and no ps. I have kids (girls) so gotta have a a/c in cali. Well off to get that pacesetter header.

Look at the cam gears to see if its a dohc or sohc. On the timing belt cover there is an inspection cover. Pop it off and have a look.

I did its a SOHC. I noticed in the pic of the header that I'm picking up tonight he has rvt sealant for a old seal? Does this work or should I buy the oem gasket for the header? Next dohc muffler or flowmaster.

OK I think I found what might be the tapping sound. My exhaust manifold has a huge crack in it. plus no gasket on either. So I bought a pace setter header and new gasket. Now the prob is I was thinking it was a bolt on part(header) but now it seems to long for the exhaust now. Is it me or do I need to get my exhaust pipe shorted? Car is in pieces right now

The crack in your manifold was the exhaust leak I was referring to. The pacesetter is not a bolt on and needs some work to get it to fit.

Well went to a exhaust shop. 125 to put it in. Make a new collar to match the header , cut 5-6inches off exhaust , weld new collar and put in the header. Have to wait tell pay day.
