whent out for a ride in my neon shut it off and it didnt want to start again just made this clicking noise like maybe the starter silinoid could be bad so i started poking around and found that the positive wire comming from the solinoid was broke not all the way thru but just enough to give me problems its the smaller gauge wire not the going to the batt. hope this might help someone!!!!

 

I had the same problem on my SOHC if youre talking about the wire going up in between the intake manifold. My front mount is bad and was the culprit to this problem. Just solder a new piece of wire and heat shrink it, works like a charm on mine.
