When I open my door the door doesn't want to stay open and always tries to close. Somebody told me it's the door check just want to see other people's opinions. Anyone know what could it be? Thanks

You need a new plastic bushing that works with the hinge to keep it open. My door stays open even on a hill because my bushing is not worn out.

The trick to replacing them is in keeping the door steady and in place while you undo the bolts and put on a new hinge - I don't know if they sell just the bushings, but Rockauto.com has this part:

DORMAN Part # 38414 Door Hinge Pin & Bushing Kit for $6.

BTW 96dohc is a hater, so take whatever he says with a grain of salt.
