i have a 96 neon highline with the 2.0 auto. i have no idea on where to start looking for the computer so i can take it out and get it replaced.
im thinking its bad because the car just shuts off whenever it feels like it and after a few minutes it starts back up. when it does shut down i have no connection with the computer at all with my scanner, which leads me to believe the computer is going out. when the car is running i have connection and also when i shut it off i still have connection, just not when it shuts itself down.
thank you

its not hard to get out. I just replaced mine over the weekend. it keep reading it was not ready for emissions test. put new one in working fine. you have to pull the windshield wiper fluid funnel thing out. It comes right out, then, work the ecm out. careful when disconnecting the plugs. They have clips to work with don't pull then from the top, I used a screw driver to help ease them up once I get enough free space.
