Sputters Then Dies

Sputters Then Dies
95 Dodge Neon---OK I have just cleared the ECU before this last mishap, so I will take it up to Autozone in the morning and see what codes it has. It's not bad gas, (also put fuel cleaner in it) I checked just about every wire and vacum under the hood to no avail! It sputters and then dies on the highway which I have attributed to heat. It never does this unless driving for 20-30 mins and then when I kill it or it dies, it will crank right up and go for a bit and the whole thing starts again.
Sometimes it won't even start for a few mins and I mean DEAD NO power!
Which makes me think it may be electrical. But I am lost.
I definitely need to do this https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...er-repair.html my gauges sometimes work if I smack on the dash or just luck out.
Sputters,back fires,dies. Only after 20-30 mins driving.
I want to say it doesn't happen while driving on the street but all I can say is I have not tested that fully, but I can drive 10-15 miles under 50mph and it never happens.
Ideas suggestions much appreciated!!
Thank you!

Check coolant temp sensor, fuel pump, crank or cam sensor, and wiring between crank and cam sensor. Any other symptoms? If the car wont even crank when the issue turns up I would check the ignition, pcm, and wiring. The battery is secure correct? Positive terminal hitting the hood could do this.

All I have been able to do so far is change the plugs which were fine. I don't see any problems with the plug wires they are only a few years old and in great shape. I am taking it to my mechanic this weekend and see what he can find.
On a side note;Trying to get it inspected is when this all started. It failed no doubt...The guy doing the inspections says run RPX fuel additive in it bring it back which I did, no change, still failed...Then he says replace the CAT but on the test it shows the CAT as passing. I know it can't hurt but until I am 100% SURE that is the main issue I don't want to shell out the cash for a new CAT.
I did notice when changing the plugs I had oil in chamber 2..And the rubber washer came out when I was replacing the plugs and I am not positive I got it back in perfectly.
I do have the faulty solder points problem with the gauges--So NO dummy lights,NO Fuel only thing that works is temp.tac and speed do. And those are random.
I have had issues with my ignition--but when it sputters/dies if I jiggle or mess with the ignition it does't seem to affect anything--I am going to have ALL this checked and fixed!!
