Okay when I drive sometimes my '97 Dodge Neon kinda putters and I wanna say it may happen when I only go around 60mph, but since that is the speed that I do most of my driving I can't say it won't happen when I'm going 30mph. Anyhow when I bought the vehicle about 2 weeks ago the guy said that the SERVICE ENGINE light is stuck on but now I wonder if he was lying. Anyhow today the engine actually cut out when I was at a stop sign, and it almost did it again at another stop sign. I have blue smoke coming from my muffler and was told by the seller that its been doing that since the oil has been changed and should stop after about 1000 miles. Any ideas?

 

Okay when it chugs it sometimes seems to rev really high for awhile like it's switching gears, I can hear the RPMs going up, also it only cuts off the engine at a complete stop after a certain amount of time
