Default 98 neon electrical question

i have a 98 neon 2.0 dohc. my problem is yesterday i was driving and suddenly i lost all power to the car (as if the battery was unhooked) the car would not do anything when trying to restart. i hooked up jumper cables and after about 5 minutes the car started and ran just fine. Today i drove the car for a while with no issues. after coming home for about 15 minutes i went to leave again amd the car started fine but when i put it in gear to leave it lost all power again. any suggestions as to what is causing this??? i dont know if its the battery, alternator, or wiring issue(hopefully not!) any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance

Check the wiring underneath the PDC. You might have an exposed wire that runs the fuel pump. Or your fuel pump may be overheating and shutting down. Check the fuel pump fuse and relay as well.

It ended up being a broken wire coming from the positive side of the battery terminal to the distribution block that houses the relays/fuses under the hood. Thankfully a simple and easy fix. Thanks for the advice
