Default 1995 neon....nothing at start

my 1st post to the board.
My 1995 neon (2.0, sohc, MT, 345K miles) does nothing when I turn the key from off to run...no fuel pump hum, no clicks no nothing. I tested the relays and they seem to be fine...pull in when energized and continuity. I get power to the relays when you try to start it, but nothing. I'm getting codes 12, 44 and 42 from the dashboard codes.

The blower, lights and rest of the things energize w/ key on.

Any ideas? Thanks.

CODE 12 Problem with battery connection.Direct battery input to pcm disconnected within the last 50 ignition key-on cycles.
CODE 42 Fuel pump relay or auto shutdown relay (ASD) control circuit indicates an open or shorted condition.
CODE 44 Battery temperature sensor volts malfunction.Problem with the battery temperature voltage circuit in the pcm.

Try the ASD relay first. Could also be a wiring problem

Smile got it...

The problem turned out to be a high-resistance short of the positive cable to the frame. A bare spot got worn into the insulation and the corrosion that formed kept fuses from blowing. When I put a voltmeter on the battery, you could see a slow steady drain.....sneaky !
