TMy neon starts like if nothing is wrong with it, but after 30 miles or so the car starts to stutter, and accelerate by itself and the gauges turn off, then car with start dying and for a while it won't go faster than 5 miles per hour. Once I turn it off and leave it for like 35 mins or so it starts like normal and everything reapeats again. Any ideas what it might be

 

Could be a bad alternator or the battery might be dying. Test voltage at startup and compare to factory.service manual.
