Default Dash sporatically not working

97 Neon Highline SOHC

When I got this car a couple of years ago, the speedo only worked occasionally. Sometimes on it;s own, and sometimes when you pressed on the dash in just the right spot (and that spot likes to move). Lately though, the rest of the dash seems to not work sometimes, the fuel and temp gauges and the dummy lights will just drop off. I can hit the dash or press on it in "just the right spot" and they'll all come back on.

I tried replacing the dash with another one (junkyard) but that one seemed to be worse.
Any ideas?

> Hi. New member here and my first post.

I can say this was the easiest fix i've ever done. I bought a dodge Neon 95 a few weeks ago and now i'm in the task of fixing everything and of course this problem showed. I just removed the cluster, took it apart and instead of just re-solder it i removed the old solder with a pump (one of this https://i.imgur.com/SZRXmMM.jpg for those who don't know) and some solder braid and applied new solder to it. Now it's working as a charm.

Thanks for this (and other tips). See you all later.
