So my fellow neon enthuist my baby leo whom I cherish has just developed as what I would call a slight wouldn't call it a knock maybe a loping knock at idle and right around 3k rpms turn into a chatter more or less. I did the screw driver trick and it sounds like my lifter valley is being a nuisance. I recently had to tap and drill a new screw for the valve cover and I found a few metal flakes so I flushed the engine. With seafoam parts cleaner and then oil. Noise is still there but oil seems completely clean now so anyone have experiences in this area of neons let me know I'll appreciate it
