I have a 1997 Dodge Neon and the two door side speakers are blown how do i remove the panels to get to the speakers

 

On the neon there are a few screws, but not many. One in the door handle and one on the side. Then theres just a few plastic clips and then your good. Youll have to struggle with the clips a little bit, but be careful. They will snap like no other. Ive had to replace all but one of those clips taking off my panle. But other then that its nothing too difficult. Shouldnt take you more than 10 min. to get off. Good luck.

 

Hardest part is getting the window crank off, if you have one. There's a c-clip holding it on. You can use a rag, really long, thin needlenoze pliers, credit card... whatever works. And pay attention, those things can launch a good 20 feet!

It Depednds on whether you have auto. windows or not, if you dont, than there is a little torx screw inside of the little cup over the "armrest" on the panel and what you also must do is pop out the pin behind ur window crank. There is a special tool to get this pin out but if u get a long thin flathead and lay under the door at an angle u can see it and kind of push it out. They do fly right out so keep an eye out for when it flies if u dont already have extras. The door itslef is just pop riveted in so b kind of careful when you remove it or you may have to replace some rivets. There will b 1 more screw right behind the interior handle and thats connected to the bar that you know releases the mechanism to open the door. Ive found that its easier if u take the screws off and window crank pin than kind of lift the panel up and than snap that little release bar off of the plastic piece on the inside of the panel. It really is very simple just remember theres 2 screws a window crank pin and poprivets that hold on the panel.
