-begin by diconnecting the battery cable from the negative battery terminal
-remove the air filter inlet duct (a wingnut on the front and a screw-style clamp at the back is all that holds this on)
-disconnect the spark plug wires, make sure that you label each of your wires and where they plug into on EACH END. This is critical
-remove the ignition coil pack (the H shaped thing that the spark plug wires lead to), there are 4 bolts that hold it on
-remove the valve cover bolts, it looks like there's about 10 of them
-If the valve cover sticks to the lower portion, get a rubber hammer and tap it lightly. Cradle it from the other direction, you don't want to ding the inside of this thing at all
-Remove all traces of the old gasket with a soft scraping utensil
-clean the valve cover inside and out with acetone, once all traces of the old gasket and sealant are gone.
