Default weak heat 1g

my work car, 1st gen, has "weak" heat, only getting warm. It was fine last winter, but not now. Temp. gauge still reads perfect just no good heat, any ideas?

Has the vehicle been in storage or not in use for a long period of time? If it has, I'd be inclined to say that there might be some blockage in the radiator. Has there been any damage done to the radiator? The thermostat could be opening too early, causing the vehicle to cycle too frequently. Is your coolant level too low? If there's not enough coolant, your car can't transfer that heat into the air.

Any other ideas guys?

coolant level is good, and I thought the thermostat was fine also if the temp. gauge is reading good. Opening early would read lower temp, might be wrong.

Easiest and cheapest solution, flush the radiator. Warm the car up real good and carefully touch the 2 hoses on the passenger side going through the firewall with the heat on full blast. If they have a big difference in tepature then there is a problem with the heater core.
