I'm looking for all possible performance modifications that can be done to a base 96 sohc neon. I have $2000 to spend, what would be the best Investment?

 

buy turbo manifold seen hahns for as low as 200 dollars, bottom end kit, megasquirt ecu, turbo cam, fuel injectors, feul rail, fuel pump, and dsm turbo off 1st gen eclipse talon = good project car for 2000 dollars.

 

You could probally squeeze a turbo kit out of $2000 if you buy a used one. For another little bit you could get a new one. Both the hahns kit and chill factory both are made to run on stock internals.

 

man I got a big spoiler. and although not much for performance, to me if you dont have looks it dont matter how fast you can go I say a spoiler and good body kit. both can improve handling a bit then spend the rest on engine mods. that everyone else knows about I dont

 

I am a strong believer in being able to go faster than the car looks. A fast stock looking car is better than a all show and no go!!!!!!!
