The Check engine light will come on if you have a problem. THE AFX makes the most power, and it the best one. The AFX street makes a little bit more power than the Mopar, but for the price differences I would go with the Mopar over the AFX Street. If you ant the best, get the AFX race.

No, you will not have a check engine light. There is no "better" PCM, it all depends on what you have and how far you are gonna go with the motor, and how much you wanna spend.

They are all really good choices. There is not bad or good one, they will all work with the turbo. Goto Modernperformance.com and howellautomotive.com and check them all out. It is really a matter of how much you wanna spend, if you wanna have to run 93 octane( you can get away without it with the AFX street and Mopar, but you are gonna be stuck with 93 with the AFX race, and how much you are going to build the internals, if you are at all. I would suggest the Mopar of AFX street unless you are gonna go all out, but if it was me I would get the AFX race just because its not that much more and it won't hurt to put it on a bone stock neon.

yeah, i am planning on a full rebuild of my motor eventually. probably after this year when i get the ignition and such done, then next year the hahn 20g tubo, and then, if things go right, rebuild the top and bottom ends the right way to handle all the power and then some. i really didnt know there was different choices of ecu's. all i ever seen was the mopar performance one. i will have to do some readin i guess and see what is out there, thanks for the info, again.lol!

Any performance pcm is not going to show huge gains on a stock motor. As you build the motor and bolt on different parts the performance PCM will work with them to allow more gains from them.
