mattdog 2.0 sohc to srt4 adapter
hey i was looking around and i cam across this adapter . where can i find or buy one ? and will it bolt up to my 96 sohc ? i can get a srt4 turbo and mani for 300 so i am very interested. but where can i get it .
I am very confused what is this srt-4 adapeter? I wanna turn my neon into a SRT-4, where do I sign up? Are you looking for a manifold to use a srt-4 turbo on a 2.0L? Or does it just make the car an srt-4? Never heard of one.
I've seen them over on ***********. It allows you to bolt up the SRT manifold/turbo onto a SOHC.

Hmmm... I know where to get one. mattdog doesn't hang out on these forums.
It's a 2-piece deal. One part bolts directly to whatever head you've got (specify in advance, they can do regular SOHC, Magnum, and DOHC). The other half bolts to that, and the SRT-4 manifold/turbo bolts to that. Since the bolt patterns are different from the regular Neon to the SRT-4, you have to have an adapter. Matt's design is the best I've seen. Very well thought out, and done professionally on a CNC machine (the port blending is simply a thing of beauty). Those that are using it (including a 2nd gen NGC car using the stock PCM, but Kev doesn't hang out here either...) absloutely love it. Between the adapter, used manifold/turbo/intercooler, custom piping, fuel pump, injectors, and electronic bits (MAP doesn't like boost, etc...), you can build a 200+ HP car for $1k or so. Beyond that, you'd want a little better fuel control. And, as always, forged internals are needed beyond the 225ish ft-lb range. It's a little scarier project than a nice bolt-on kit though, so you really need to talk to those that have done DIY turbo projects or do plenty of research before you start laying out the cash, or you could easily double/triple your budget (time and money)...

i am very interested, i have an 04 srt here at my yard, i seen your thread over at....blah blah, and i emailed you, but to no reply, what are the going rates for them now?
... and what INCREDIBLE info it is! Kev's dyno's are spectacular... Wish I was still living up there to see it in person.
