I don't get it either. I went out last night to by new shoes from my daughter at Stride-Rite (she's got skinny feet). They were out of the size she needed, so they recommended going to Nordstrom's, which tends to carry the narrower sizes as well. Progressive Insurance will straight-up tell you if you can get a better rate for the same coverage at a different company. But, rules are rules and parts is parts I suppose... I personally don't go the that "other forum" much because the people are just too abrasive and cocky for my tastes. How's that for advertising?...

Rember that there's an unnamed SRT-4 tailored forum that was very much the same way when it came to "personal advertising" without paying for your advertising space up front. I left them when they started getting on people for simply linking to non-paying companies. At least when I post links to Booger Racing, Vitor's site, Modern, whoever, I don't get nastygrams (yet...). Plus, here I'm still allowed to say/link whatever I want via PM, as long as the recipient doesn't complain.

Anywho...

Prices for Matt's adapter run $200 or so, and I'm pretty sure include gaskets. If anyone wants more info on them, pics, dyno's, etc. just PM me. I can put you in touch with Matt, provide as much info as I know, but I'm not about to be the go-between guy for every little question you have on them...

Better make it quick too. We're putting in an offer on a house. If the seller accepts, what's left of the Neon is getting parted out to make room for a new RX-8 Zoom-zoom!

Radar/Matt, I don't make the rules. I can see the reasoning behind them to a point. If we allowed Matt to sell his product here then whats to say Modernperformace.com should not be able to have a SN and say come buy from me? Or worse, those electric supercharger people on ebay getting a hold of a noob, lol. It is tricky and frustrating. I have never heard of anyone making an SRT-4 adapter and I am sure a lot of people are interested in it. As for the "other forum" I agree they have a wealth of info over there and that DF is a lot more question friendly and that should win out by peoples own choice, but rules are rules. I was a member there for all of a week. I am pretty knowledgeable about cars in general and I got flamed for asking about an autozone clutch. I'll keep it short, but I was broke and needed a car. I got responses like "If you knew anything about cars you would not buy from autozone" "ricer" "Go buy a stage 10" Just BS. Anyways, you can post all the pics you want Matt, just to keep within the rules, don't say Pm me if you want this or I can make you one of those.

 

Yeah the " can be a bit frustrating to new users BUT we won't get into that right now.

There is a reason why the dealers don't stock this adapter, howell automotive wanted 30% of the profit which would kill any profits that we made unless we marked up the price which turns away buyers since most neon owners don't have alot of money. I attempted to contact modern once but never herd back. I didn't persue the issue beyond that because I figure it's the same deal that howell offered. I figure people know where to get them if they want them...

Only dyno I know of to date on not the best fuel setup is 219hp/244ft.lbs on 10psi.

Why would they need to do that. Everyone already says modernperformance when someone asks where to buy parts from anyways. Like I said in my PM...it doesn't make sense why some things are allowed and others are not. Those adapters are pretty tempting piece...I have a bunch of SRT stuff.....
