I hope this isn't a repost...
You know you are addicted to 1st gen neons when....
10 - You say the word "headgasket" in conjunction with the word "neon" more than 1 time per week.
9 - You think that Plymouth had a slight horsepower edge.
8 - Your first no money mod was removing the weather stripping on the edge of the hood for better air flow under the hood.
7 - Someone says 3.55 or 3.94 in math class and you laugh as you're doing your tranny swap this coming weekend.
6 - You have made or bought a cluster to make your dash look "newer".
5 - You have gone to ebay once in the past week and searched "neon 1st gen".
4 - Your idea of a hobby is fixing your neon. It's also the chore you have to do one the weekends so you can get to work the rest of the week.
3 - You understand the term "bumper sag" all too well. Better part is you know it cannot be fixed with a bra.
2 - You have a cold air intake that was made with only 3 parts: 3.0L intake, cone filter, and *lots* of duct tape.
And the number one reason you know you're addicted to first gens is?
1 - You bought a 1st gen to fix up, and have been fixing it for more than 6 years straight. However, it has never gotten fixed for more than a month at a time.

yeah you are going to have to change that gasket at some point. Make sure you get an MLS one while your doing that you should install a new water pump too. at some point that will go on you too. I just got done the day before yesterday wiring up my down stream 02 sensor. some how it got fryed so I had to strip some of the wiring and re hook it up. while I was done there I Noticed that my oil plug had some leakage. I would have fixed that but I didn't have any oil around and I would have had to take the car down to go get some and I was just tired at that point.
