i was racing an integra(wooped his tale) my friend at the finish line said he heard somthing fall like a wrench against the pavement soon did i relize my clutched is messed up 1-its alot tougher, it used to be easy to press 2-it sounds like a rusty spring you can here it when i push the clutch in it sounds like its coming from the back end of the motor 3-know somthing is squeeking Got any ideas are much appreciated?

no i didnt cause it was dark outside. im going back out there today to try to find it. i sure hope its not my flywheel. its a road out in BFE nobody ever drives on it.

close it means-----Bum Fing Egypt in other words out in the middle of no where i just came to the realization that im almopst possitive its just my clutch cable i think i just frayed it im gonna try and replace it never done it before wish me luck

Yea dude it definantly sounds like you raped your clutch royaly.

 

The modular clutch in the Neon is a weak POS and you have to replace it as a whole which is quite expensive. Your gonna need a new one, so you might as well upgrade and either get a good one or do a conversion to a typical clutch/flywheel set up.

 

Yes it is, I made the mistake of being cheap and getting one from Autozone for $300, I have went through literally 5 of them, the only good things are they are warentied for life and I can change it out in about 5 hours, lol
