Default underdrive pulleys ?!

i have a dodge stratus, with the 2.0L SOHC engine in it, so basially when lookin for performance parts i search for neon parts.
i'm just wondering about getting an underdrive pulley, lighter crank and cam pulleys. what experiences have you neon owners had with these? are they good? any recomendations? I plan to get all 3 and install them all at once.

the UDP will help a little by freeing up HP. I have never heard of a lightened crank pulley though.

This pulley will give you about 8 hp on a 95. The 95-96's have the heaviest factory pulleys, the weight savings plus the underdrive is what gives you the good gain.

is that udp what replaces the harmonic balancer? i also am looking into the udp but i do not know how it works. i am removing my a/c stuff permanantly, leaving the power steering, unless the steering is still easy without it. maybe just runnin the alternator. but seriously, give some details on the udp system please. any special belt needed when the alternator is the only thing running off the harmonic balancer?

Why would you only wanna remove the pulley? Remove the whole A/C and drop some weight too. All you need is a accesory belt from a non-AC car.

Neons, don't have a Harmonic Balancer. The have a heavy pulley that acts like a small flywheel.

im just use to calling it a harmonic balancer cause i have a junk yard and the pulley off the crank we call a balancer. but anyways, they make a belt just for runnin the alternator? nothin else. i mean, if i was to take the power steering pump and a/c crap off, all i will have is the alternator. so i was curious if they made belts just for that, or if i had to compare it to one at a parts store.

You would probally have to play around with sizes a little. A belt for a neon without AC or PS might work though.
