The parking brake light on the dash illuminates everyonce in awhile. No my parking brake is not on, yes i even checked myself lol. Its seems only when i get on the gas a little bit and maybe 1/5 times it'll do that, it will illuminate itself. What could this mean. I notice beside the "P" theres a exlacmation mark. What does that have to with, parking brake or somethign else?

Check ur brake fluid level, im not sure if it works in neons too, but usually when that light comes on by itself, it means ur low on brake fluid

 

Yeah that should be the problem. The brake fluid might be low, and when you put the pedal to the metal the fluid in the container shifts toward the back and so the reader shows that it is empty. Just fill it up a bit and you should be good!

 

Alright, i checked and it is a tad low, i will fill her up and see what happens!

Brake fluid in a sealed system does not evaporate. If the fluid level in the master is low, either it's time ofr new brakes or you have a leak. I would check the brakes before just adding fluid, I'd hate to find out the hard way....
