i have no idea what to buy. help me out.
i have 1 grand, need to boost performance up without having to replace upgrades when the turbo goes on, any ideas??
sohc, 95 neon, cai, and muffler, hollow cat. that is what i have done so far, what else would show good improvements immediatly?
also, i am p/p the head.

 

you own/ work at a junkyard ...put a grand into an engine kit and take the turbo off of a gen 1 eclipse and make your own turbo manifold or buy one off ebay for 200 dollars...also swap the injectors off the srt-4 you just got in. And buy the walbro fuel pump...You can use the SMIC off the gen 1 as well or just use the FMIC off of the srt-4 and you gotta pretty potent little neon. BTW you will prolly have to add a few more things but I figured I would just give you some Ideas hehe...hell you could prolly even use the whole turbo off the srt-4 you just got w/ the mani-adapter. But other than that try the DIS-2 MSD ignition controller and Megasquirt ECU 60 MM throttle body and....maybe extrude hone intake manifold. W/ a new set of magnecor plugs Oh and you can get all this from www.modernperformance.com and Howell automotive

 

yeah, i have those ideas, i was just looking for soe quick bolt ons for now, the turbo stuff is in the future.
1 grand in about two weeks or so.
i was looking into the mopar ecu, screamin demon coil, 8.5mm wires, adj cam gear, and udp.
but i was told that would be a waste of my money, i really have no idea. it looks good to me but i dont know, i was told the ecu wont work when i get it turbo'd, coil would be good, wires also, cam gear would do no good, and the under drive pulley would hurt my crank shaft.

 

what my plans are for now is i am portiong the head, intake, exhaust, putting a atx throttle body on my mtx, already have the muffler, cat hollowed, cai. but i need some more hp demmit.lol.

 

so, i have found this instead.
what would i need besides the piranna kit, it is a direct port kit. how much of a shot can i do on my stock sohc?

id say 50 direct shot and 75 intake fed...it really depends on how much fuel you are running...you really need to run rich w/ the nitrous but....that motor might be useless after you decide to turbo it...just save the money and do it right...no sense in wasting your time...Just do an SRT-4 swap if you want to be cheap...since, well you already got one....LOL
