Default compression results.....?

my 97 sohc is running too rich and rough. no misfire. I know egr and o2's are fine. not overheating. no clogged cat. cant figure this one out....I also did a compression test and the results were......
#1 cyl. 150-155 psi
#2 cyl. 175 psi
#3 cyl. 175 psi
#4 cyl. 150 psi
are these results good? bad? strange?
any info on what it should be would be nice

I also just checked my fuel pressure and its about 44 psi at the rail at an idle. Is this still in the acceptable range???

Did you try a wet test to see if its blowby from worn rings? Just put a couple drops of oil in each and test it again

go it running right again...seems a peice of carbon got lodged in the egr valve holding it open just enuff to run like *** and not throw a code. now thats its running good i would still like to know what state the motor is in based on the results i posted in the beginning...

how do those numbers look to you..from what ive read theyre not half bad 4 a 10 year old daily driver

Carbon in the EGR will do it everytime. #1 and #4 do sound a little low, but how many miles are on the car? The low compression is not good, but its in an acceptable range, not great but accpetable. If it was down to 120-125 or so then yeah.

Your rings are probally a little worn, its nothing to worry about, just be concious of it.
