smoke....ONLY at idle???
oil smoke is blueish. white smoke sounds like coolant, is it using coolant? I would smell the smoke and see if it smells like coolant or oil, that would help narrow down the problem.

If it was oil smoke it would be coming out all the time, not just at stop lights....

well....my coolant overflow tank is slowly going down from full to fill...oil seems a bit "watery" but not bad...but while driving there is no symptoms of blown headgasket...i.e. constant smoking, overheating, heater blowing cold, overflow resevoir filling up after driving, milky looking coolant, oil residue in overflow resevoir. (yes i blew a headgasket in a turbo'd civic before i know what happens) :P so im kinda irritated. I really dont want to go through the hassle of replacing a headgasket or discovering i might need a rebuild. Worst case scenerio i can buy a totally rebuilt practically brand new head for 420 shipped and just throw that on with a mls headgasket. this sucks! But im still not sure what the deal is. or why it only smokes after idling for a long period of time

I have had cars that the oil would build up in the intake at idle and when you step on the gas it gets sucked in and smokes like a bitch for a minute and then its gone unless you sit at idle again for a while.
