chocolate milk for oil, blown head gasket
The car had been setting for about a year and did not run very good when it was parked. I got it to run last week but the idle was extremely bad. I kept it running for about 10-15 minutes just above idle. The oil was changed shortly before it was parked, but when I drained the oil last week, it was very thick and looked like chocolate milk. I know this is the sign of a blown head gasket. My question is should I even try to tear the engine apart to see how bad the damage (What should I look for?) is or should I just try to get a decent junk yard motor? What other options are there?
