I doubt there is a TT eclipse out there that does not have some major work done to it. The Stealth, 3000GT, and 300zx use a TT set-up, but they are all 6 cyl. It is possible, just pointless and not gonna last that long. A turbo is driven by the exhaust gas, 2 cyl will not have enough flow to turn a big turbo and if you use a smaller one it is gonna be hard to keep cool and is gonna burn your oil.

yeah a twin turbo isnt a great idea for this build i would recomend if your going to want serious hp output rebuild the bottom end (pistons, rods, and all that jazz,) and do some other headwork and then run a higher stage turbo and that will still give you a lot of power.

yeah the tt eclipse was a show vehicle, what i still dont understand is why would going with smaller turbos make it harder to keep cool? would it be a better design idea to go with a single say 20g turbo? vs the pair of 16`s

The reason a smaller turbo is going to run hotter is pretty simple, there is less metal there to keep it cool. Less material to pull the heat away equals a hotter running temp.

correct me if im wrong but the job of the intercooler is to keep the turbo cool? or are we talking about diff. things, more then likley going to go w a single 20g kit though i dont think my guy will have the time to do the manafold and if its going to be kinda ify if it would be dependable why waste the $ and fry my motor

The job of the intercooler is to cool the air charge after it is compressed by the turbo.

if you want an easy task, just swap the srt4 2.4l turbo engine into your neon, and then take the money that you would use for the buildup of a normal 2.4l engine and goto stage 3 on the srt engine, you will be more impressed with tat outcome and save alot of money in the process. but, if you are like me, you want to keep it the same motor that was in the neon to begin with.
you can use a 20g turbo on a sohc neon engine 2.0l and with the internals done, you will have a real nice street car. add some n2o to that beast, and it will scare you silly.

Unless you have a 2.4L motor, the SRT rods and pistons are not gonna work, they are too big.
