No neon other than the SRT-4 came with a limited slip stock. If you think an aftermarket one was installed, jack the front end of the car up and turn one of the wheels. If the one on the other side turns the opposite way you are turning it then you don't have a limited slip. If it turns the same way then you do.

well i jacked up the front of my car, turned the wheel one way, and the other one didnt turn, then i did the same thing on the other side and had the same result. however if you pop the clutch, both tires spin until you hit half way through second. so im not sure, maybe you know what this means

Sorry, I was not even thinking, I am wrong, that will only work with a RWD car. Have you tried smoking the tires? does it leave 1 or 2 marks? You can lock the E-brake and drop the clutch, if its got a limited slip, both tire will lock up and spin. If you only get one tire going then you know its not. I doubt that you have a limited slip in there, is there any other performance work done to the car. Most people will not put a limited slip in unless they are running some decent HP.

when i got the car it had a k&n intake, koni adjustable struts, and the computer had a dealership sticker on it that said it was reprogrammed(if that means anything) and it a awsome brakes>after 40,000 had miles they are still like brand new. other then that it didnt have anything that i know of and the lot that i got it from couldnt tell me anything. from a dead stop it can burn both tires through 1st and half way through second, then just the passanger spins the rest of the way through second and then into third. but my other r/t spins both tires too, and i know it was stock when i got it.

I don't like recommending the "burning rubber method" because the differential pin is so fantastically weak... However, try putting one tire on good traction (asphalt) and the other on bad traction (mud, ice, dirt, gravel, etc.) and then spin it up. If the tire on the asphalt spins immediately (along with the tire in the mud), it probably has a limited slip. My bet it doesn't though... Not a very popular aftermarket item for most folks.

Best of luck!
