they should be, its just a capacitor i dont see why they would change that..it would just be stupid...scratch that.....they are the same

after a trip to the dealership for some tranny fluid i spoke with them on buyin this capicator and to my surprise they said dont worry with it most of the time its taken off and never worried with again and so the mechanic went into tellin me what it does accordin to him all it does is keep the electricity in the wiring harness from goin into air and bein picked up by the stereo and was told bluntly that it would have no affect which is a good thing since the parts manager couldnt locate it in thier computer but $31.08 for 2 quarts of tranny fluid now that hurts

that just looks like a lot of jibberish to me but if any of you ful fledged dodge mechanics have anymore insigt on wheater all it does do is keep static out the radio it would be nice

you can unplug it and take it out and it doesnt make any difference..so its probally not important..if it was then it wouldnt have that kinda clip on there, or would be made more durable...

this part is called ignition capacitor and the part number from the dealer is 4608359.

I have the same question as to what this part is and what it does? I need to get replacement. So This is an "ignition capacitor"?
