need to know what apart is called
ok all i was just tryin to figure out what a part is called so i can replace it on my SOHC neon uts just a reallly smalll lack black prolly an inch square and it bolts to the side of the head just forward of the cam position sensor and has a sinhle wire running to a plastic clip that just slips over a bare metal prong any and all help is appreciated
not to b e a smart *** but if i had apic i could get the numbers off it and cross reference them online through a search engine or courtesy dodge i hope i've givin enuff info it bolts to the head where the heater core lines mount to the head all it is is a lil black square bout 1 square inch has a tab on the back to hold it in place while the bolt is tightened and has a metal prony that a green wire with one white strip slips on amd is located directly between the edge of the head and the cam position sensor
umm chrysler parts direct didnt have it listed as that
but if anyone drives a 96 SOHC MX and have the time and could haelp out im sure i could find it online if someone could give me the numbers off of theirs so i can cross reference it

Are we looking at the same engine? My heater core lines are on the block, not the head.
I'm not trying to tick you off, and I'd really like to help. I'll go out and pop the hood here in a few and take a good look. The key thing I'll be looking for is the green/white wire...

this is what you are talkin about right???...its a .47 microfarad capacitor...there are two numbers on it: the top number is 250/0.47 and the bottom number is 45301...it has a single wire, mountes through a bolt in the cylinder head, and has 1 single wire with a slide on plastic connector...here is a pic...might be slightly different though...this is from a 98 dohc

My '95 SOHC doesn't have one... I looked, even pulled out the FSM and found everything that had a green wire with a white stripe... Looks like that's a red stripe to me though, which means it's tied into the ASD relay output. Capacitor makes perfect sense, smoother power to the injectors, O2 sensors, coilpack, and whatnot. Good find spud!
