Hey if it works for you. There is a reason that people use air filters not whatever that is. The reason is that small particles can hurt the engine too.

i took mine off it sounds great when i step on it around 6,000 or so its get louder.....two months after i got my car i got a aem cai and i kept the big plastic thing on there so my intake will not breath hot air from the motor.
