Default A way to fix side piston rod play?

I have side to side play where the rod connects to the crank.. I have not checked it yet but if its not the rod thats wore down can i use some kind of piston rod shims on the sides to keep it from moving ? I know that it will be a temporary fix at best and that i would need to get a new crank if this couldnt be done.. Thanks for the help

Time for a crank or new rods depending on which specification is wrong.

There are no shims, you are gonna have to change the rod or crank.
