Default Oil in 4th spark plug well

I have a 1998 Dodge Neon R/T DOHC, I bought it about 2 months ago (and love it!). It does have alot of miles on it (181,000) but runs like a champ! I have a slight problem though. When I got the car home, I figured I would give it a tune up, seeing as there were so many miles on it. I pulled the boot of the sparkplug wire from the 4th spark plug and it was COVERED in oil, and there was about 3 inches of oil sitting inside that well. Its not inside the cylinder, rather, its in the spark plug well. The engine looks as though it has been rebuilt, or replaced (there is a number on the valve cover under the intake snorkle) Could this problem be a valve cover gasket problem? Mis-aligned valve cover? Any other guesses? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I want to get the fixed before it get worse! Thanks all!

It's the spark plug tube seal that is bad. This is a common problem on neons. I just replaced mine last weekend, the job is really easy, but do yourself a favor and pick up a haynes manual if you don't already have one.
