Default Replacing the mounts

i'm replacing my engine and transmission mounts. does anyone know how to replace the engine and transmission mounts? i need a step by step directions with or without photos/diagrams. thanks.

They are not difficult at all. Biggest thing you want to do is support the engine while removing/replacing the mount. If you take a look at them, they are held in place by a couple of bolts. Take those out, pull the mount, insert new mount, install bolts. Sorry if this seems basic, but it's a simple job. Like I said before, support the engine while doing this so that it doesn't move.

A Haynes (or Chilton's) manual isn't all that expensive. Usually has plenty of pictures, decent instructions. i use it along with my FSM whenever doing anythin more major than an oil change...

i know i posted this awhile back but... i'm going to install prothane motor mount inserts in early january. When i posted this original post, i've decided to let my dad take it to his work, he works at a dodge dealership. But now i don't really have spare money to throw away when i could do it myself. My only question is... is there another way to support the engine so it doesn't move without using a engine lift (cherry picker)? thanks! -Anthony

a jack....put a book in between the jack and your oil pan.

I use a wood block instead of a book, but they both work.
