ok, new with a problem
My name is Wendy and I have a problem.
I own a 98 Neon and I am not sure if I should be putting this post here, but
I don't know where to start off with this forum.
I had to replace my door and fender with a 97 model because some fruit cake
took it upon himself to hit my whole drivers side of my car. But here is my problem...after working on getting
the new door on my car, my friend and had a hard time getting the window and crank to work together.
In the 98 door, the crank and window worked just fine, but because the door would not latch anymore I had to
put on the 97 door with a crank that was bent to hell and back. We took out the old crank from the 97 and replaced it with the
crank of the 98...but the glass will not connect right. So there for it remains off track.
What can I do to make sure that I get the crank and glass to work together?
Any ideas, and can someone help me even. I might need step by step
instructions...

thanks in advance
Wendy
It may have something to so with which factory the cars were made. Belvidere plant vs. Mexican plant. I am not sure if that is the problem, but it may be that the suppliers for the regulators had slightly different specs. Try running the VIN for your car and the donor car through the VIN decoder on the .org website. I am pretty sure if the first digit in the VIN is a 1 it is made in the Belvidere plant.
Maybe a little help/support from the rest of the forum members?

Where it was built won't affect the door/window alignment. It can be a bear to set up properly, I've had to do it twice now and the driver's side still needs some tweaking. A Haynes/Chiltons manual will be a good help. Just keep in mind that the 2-door and 4-door setups are different...
Best of luck!
