if you relocate the battery then your not loosing the weight....just moving it...so its not gonna help you all that much...unless you remove the alternator and just use the battery uintil its dead and then recharge it(and over and over again)...then that would be less strain, but not really just moving it...no matter where the battery is at, the car is still moving the weight of it

I just cut mine out also. I removed the AC condensor and am planning on making a transmission cooler out of it for my truck. The compressor weighs a few pounds thats for sure.

I said I was shedding the weight off the front, I didn't say that I was shedding the weight off the car. I thought maybe it would help around the corners. Maybe it won't. But I plan on using the space left over from the battery to put my intake.
