If you put a glasspack on your ride it will probably sound like a Jetson mobile. I wouldn't really suggest it unless that's the sound you want. The length definately makes a difference, but any length probably won't sound good. We really need to know what kind of sound that you want to get. Loud and obnoxious? Deep, mellow tone? Jetson mobile? Hope it helps.

If you want loud and obnoxious, I would go with a large hollow muffler with a big fat tip, not too many baffles. That will not only be loud and obnoxious but it will look obnoxious too. It won't sound ricey because you got a Neon and Neons are bad ***. Right guys.

Generally the more baffles and packing the more mellow the tone. Maybe a turbo muffler or a MagnaFlow. I used to work on a lot of rednecks trucks in a muffler shop (V8's). But not too many racers or 4 cylinders. I'm just going with what I know about big engines, probably the same theory though.
