Default Air bag problem

Hey all. i am the new guy here. just bought a 97 neon. the only major issue is the air bag was deployed at one time. someone cut if out and stuffed it back together. i searched and couldn't find any detailed posts. my question is what are my options? junk yard? dealership? the cheaper the better. i am fairly mechanically inclined so with some direction i could do it my self i think. just need to know where to start. anyone done this B4? are there any write ups on here that i am missing? thanks

p.s. i will post some pic's soon...this car has great potential.

mendota illinois....since its the drivers side, unscrew the endcaps on the wheel(they are the cruize control ends if you have them), under that there are a couple bolts, undo those and then pull out the air bag, then just unplug the wire clip....just remember to unhook the battery and wait a while before doing anything....

Yep, two bolts on eash side of the wheel for the pods and 2 13mm bolts that hold the bag on. Easy and takes about 5-10 minutes. You may have to take the car to a dealer to clear the air bag light if it stays on.
