Default factory 97 Stereo -- any inputs?

I'd like to hook up an IPOD-ish device to a factory stereo (radio/casette)

my question is, does it have any inputs? and if they go through amplifier?
please save me the effort of pulling out the dang stereo and looking at it

or do i need to buy an aftermarket deck?

The stock deck has no inputs or outputs (other than speaker outs). If you are looking to install an amp then I would def go with a aftermarket deck.

Yes you will need one if you want to hook it up directly. Those FM receiver things work well though and are cheaper.

are you just looking for more music to listen to as in space wise? if so I know clarion makes some hardrival ( is that a word? if not it is now!) type decks but they cost a pretty penney, JVC makes 2 decks that are usb compatible that if you use a search engine like bizrate or something like it can give you a good price on a deck that would normal cost more in new condition with warranty options http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...ore=&catid=317 usually that deck runs around 180 hope some of that info was helpfull, ive found that deck somewhere else cheaper but Im not sure where it was good luck !!

i got a mp3 player in 03 made by creative. i can change the output from headphones to line-out. i use the cd to tape adapter and it works fine, just have to crank the volume as the adapter i have is from 1997. good luck.
