Hello all,
Seems like my Ac on my dodge neon 97 5spd trans. is dead. Drove it today in evening and had ac all the way to full but nothing more than air came out of the darn vents.

Anyone got clue what could be wrong?

 

go to parts store and get recharge kit & follow the inst.

 

Hmm recharge kit will do what?

 

Puts freon in your car. You might have a leak somewhere, so you might want to take it to a shop that can check for that.

 

how about i get a leak sealer ? would that work also? I doubt that canadian tire has a recharge kit nothing is available online.Maybe wallmart has it.

 

Walmart has the recharge kit ( gona cost your around 21 dollars if not less ) if you go that route make sure to get one that has the guage on it that indicates how much is in the system and how much more you need to add, included ( it will say on can ) that it has stuff that will help revitalized the A/C and leak sealant, you could just have a bad leak that needs to be looked at proffesionally, if you try the recharge kit first and it still seems not to be up to par on the coldness ( after giving it a couple days or so, it could take some time) , and if you look under the car and notice a larger then normal puddle of water from running your A/C then odds are you have a leak some where hope some of that was helpfull and good luck !!!

 

Ahh man i think canada has a ban or something on that stuff most shops i called today(about 12) I mean auto shops/parts all said no we dont know who sells them and crap like that, i wonder how they get legal rights to get it than, anyone from canada here ?

Well lets see if anyone ships to canada or candian border allows its shipment [:-] , than will play with the ac and if i end up kiling it i guess its to the shop.
