the attena wire is a thick black wire with a silver end on it. It looks almost like a big RCA cable, its made of Coax. If it is broken take a look at the raw edge, should have a braided insulation and a copper center pin.

you will have to look closely because there should be the two clips, a thin black single wire, and the thick antenna wire.....if you happen to be thinking if the little black wire, thats the ground...feel around in the opening for the radio and see if it might of fallen back there by chance and its not the one you are thinking of.....the radio shouldnt get any signal at all without the antenna hooked it....but it will work without the ground, not well, but wil work,,.now the antenna isnt that bad to replace, just have to trace it back through the car....since it is placed in the car in 3 sections all hooked together....if you do end up needing one let me know and i could sell you the part you need.....but if the clips are fin then its a hard chance they broke the antenna.....if you look on the back of the radio you will see the big slot for the antenna....the ground is supposed to have a metal clip on it that has a black plastic clip around that....it slides onto a piece on the bac of the radio

yes, there is a ground wire, i saw it, i just didnt mention it... lol... and it isnt hooked up, nor do i think it ever was (since bestbuy installed the radio anyway. i never had a crystal clear signal... bastards!). but it doesnt have any kind of clip on it. justa wire with a bit of the rubber cut off.
but Its deffinately the antenna wire. at first i wasnt sure if it was broken because i coulndt remember what it looked like. but i thuought it looked funny. thats why i am here! I still plugged it in. so it gets ok signal sometimes, then gets real crappy!
so is there anyway to just replace that end piece instead of the whole wire. it still has a piece of metal on it, its just like a crimp on the end of the wire. i really am not looking foward to pulling the whole thing out!! its hot outside!! lol
