Need Help Plz
hey
ok so I bought a 97 Plymouth Neon Coupe MTX, got it for cheap cause it needed new rod bearings...anyway so I'm in the middle of taking out the engine, and I got everything unbolted that sould be unbolted. Motor mounts, transmission, hoses, wiring, accesories...but I cant get the engine to come off the transmission. Is there sumthing connectin it from the flywheel? just to clarify the transmission is still in the car, I dont really wanna take that out, I just want the engine out. o yea one more thing the lil rectangular lite beside the headlites, can I take those off? I've seen Neons witout em.

leavin it on a stand wont wurt anything....
the flex plate is different then the flywheel...there is the flywheel, the flexplate, and the clutch disc...
under the motor, you should of removed a thin metal plate, that is between the oil pan and trans...behing that is the clutch assembly....there are 4 bolts that hold that together.....you can rotate the flywheel and reach them all that way...hope it helps
