I'm also planning on swinging by the Junkyard tomorrow and I'm going to pick up a AT throttle body... 52mm instead of 49. But I was wondering if I bought the ICEMAN... Is the "trimming" necessary due to the bigger throttle body? the picture is sort of unclear. Because at the bottom it says bigger opening? Is that the part the connects to the throttle body? or... do I just need more sleep?

 

No the trimming is necessary because of the ATX sits higher than the MTX. The part that the intake connects to are identical in width, it's the inner diameter that differs.

So no you don't need to trim or cut the tube.
