Thought about it. And went down to home depot to get all the parts to do it. Then realized that I wanted to re locate the battery to the trunk if I was going to make my own... Might as well just buy this one off Das' friend if he still has it. If not... Time to buy some battery cables!

You dont have to relocate the battery...
Disconnect the battery, remove it from the tray
Remove the bolts that hold the tray in, there are 3 or 4 I beleive..
Remove the tray, take a cutting wheel or cutting instrument of choice and lob off the little air intake thing on the front that is blocking your access to where you want the intake
Replace tray and battery, form CAI..

I don't want to run the CAI to the back where that box is located. It gets to hot right above the exhaust manifold. I want it under the front fender so I can pick up mostly cold air. Besides relocating the battery, even just a bit higher up would free up a lot of room.. (Which there isn't in the neon engine bay.) I did a full engine swap, watch your fingers.

what about going with an AEM, injen or another brand? I hear ICEMAN is the best, but all in all I've seen DYNO results that yielded the same as ICEMAN with one made from home... I went to Home Depot to look for a U mandrel bent tube, but then realized that I want to get pictures of peoples homemade CAI's i know there were a couple posts... I don't know why i'm posting this question without searching.. I'm not that lazy

I know a couple of guys that each have an Iceman for sale. It is just for the tube only, NO FILTER OR TRAY. You can trim your stock battery tray and buy a filter to use. I think they want $75 for the tube. Let me know if anyone is interested. They go quick!!!!
