Default dang it more chugging

ok this is beginning to drive me crazy. i replaced my fuel filter and the sparkplugs and my car ran fine for about 100 miles but now its back to chugging. but i didn't relized that it only did it when it was hot outside cause when the sun went down it stopped doing it. would it be the injectors or something going bad?

have you pulled the plugs and looked at them again? may be fouling. intake temp sensor? can't think why a 20 deg diff would give problems.

i just put in the OEM Champions and no codes. what would the intake temp sensor do? also the Neon has one of them? where?

oh also i forgot to mention that when i went to change them i saw rust deposits in the tube where the wires go into to connect with the plugs. i just thought that was kinda strange considering that their always pluged with the wires.

It's your IAT sensor and it's on the intake manifold.

maybe you got crap in your tank and your fuel filter clogged up again. When does it chug? when you start out or anywhere? and how does it idle?

sometimes it only does it after its been started but then other times its when its under hard acceleration and then other times its just when i'm slowly accelerating. but today it almost got me in an accident. i was coming off an on ramp and when it came time to merge i hit the throttle and it almost staled on me. thankfully i was still coasting or else this lady in her Lexus would of slamed into my side (she was turning into my lane just as i was trying to speed up to the speed limit and to get into the other lane) so yea...need to get this thing fixed.

It idles fine 2 so... I just checked the spark plugs again and well... not the prettiest site. the tip was as white as snow and there was rust deposits around the rings and there was oil around the gasket and in some of the threads. for a car that isn't loosing all that my oil it sure looked bad. it began not so bad in the number 4 cyl. but as i moved to the 3rd, 2nd and 1st cyl. well... they got worse and worse. i see an engine rebuild later on this year...

You don't need to rebuild your engine, just change the plugs and replave the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals<---Thats what is getting oil on the plugs!
