does anyone know if seats out of a 2002 would fit into my 97 (4 dr)?

 

All neons have interchangable seats. ALL OF THEM BOLT RIGHT IN Even the SRT-4 interior..front and back!

does anyone know how to take the seat coverings off the seats (to get down to the foam)? i know they come off cause they can be replaced, but i just cant seem to get them off.

 

you have to take the top and bottom of the seats apart....on the bottom piece there are plastic retainers..long flat black strips the whap around the metal bracket....you can get a screwdriver to fit between the metal and the retainers.......to get off of the foam, there are little metal snap rings....i dont know wher to buy them maybe an autoparts store, but i just used side sutters and cut mine off...then it pulls off.....i had to remove my covers from my r/t because a very large guy must of owned it before me and would put his elbow on the side of the seat to push himself out....the whole side was broken and flapping around....so i took of the covers and threw the seats away...figured maybe sumone might need them one day

 

i have seen the black pieces that clip to the metal, and have been able to get them off, but i guess what i was missing was taking the top of the seat off.

 

how do i take the top and bottom of the seats apart??

What part isn't clear??? They will fit, only in a coupe you won't have the folding seat for the back seat people tp get out. You can modify the seats with your brackets to fold, but I have no experience with this.
