Default Help with 95

My daughter has been driving this car for a year with no problems SHE loves it . she drove it to high school and to work mostly 30 miles 1 way no problem then we take it to a college tour and after bout 45 minutes on the express way we pull off the exit as soon as we let go of the gas it quits and when you try to start it it spits and sputters. come back an hour later to tow it and it starts right up. Drive it home next day and about 45 minutes on the highway and we hit the exit the same thing as soon as she let go of the gas it quit and coasted to the exit. My wife is now driving it back and forth to work bout 20 miles back roads no problems
2 service centers looked at it and were stumped no codes no lights . they think we are nuts any help please

Could be a loose cable or ground wire. Make sure all the connections are real good. Have you noticed that it will only do this after you hit a certain speed?

It sounds like after its been run for a while at a decent rpm it gets MAD... Mine did this and it was the fuel pump. Check it out, let us know.

Sounds to me like one of your plug wires might be coming loose. Make sure they lock or pop in. Mine did the same thing when I bought it, replaced wires and plugs and it's fine.

The only time my Neons ever sputtered and died it was my coilpack. Replaced it and the problem went away.

The metal rail that supplies fuel to the injectors. There should be a connection on the front of it that looks like a tire valve, take your finger nail or a small screw driver and push the pin in the middle. Watch yourself though, if there is sufficient pressure, it WILL spray out.. thats what you want, if it drips, look at your fuel pump. How many miles are on the car?

1995 Dodge had a problem with the fuel pumps over heating and shutting off. It is in the tank so when you replace it put a new pickup filter in too, it will save you a lot of frustration!
