There could be alot of reasons for your car being sluggish, but this could be one. Your car overheating, should not be related. Check your thermostat, radiator cap, and even your radiator.

Hey everyone with that RTV sealent does it need to det up without the engine being ran for a full 24 hours? Can you immediately begin driving again? I did not quite understand that listed on the instuctions and this sealant is going to be critical not only for me but, for my friends integra. thanks

I would guess maybe theres instructions on the can or bottle of what your using, does it not say how long it should be sitting for?

well I replaced the gaskets and it seems to run fine! when i got home i raised the hood to inspect for leaks and noticed a little bit of smoke on the left side of the valve cover, is this normal ?

The instrustions on the RTV sealant says to let the sealant sit for a full 24 hours before driving it. I think that is if you are using it on a critical engine part. I would just be using it on the vavle cover gasket. Do I really need it on the valve cover gasket? I have a good gasket on the valve cover and I took it off not to long ago, used not RTV, and I have not seen any oil around the cover since. So with that in mind do you all really think I need to use it again on the vavle cover?

peace and quail grease
