If your speedometer and odometer aren't working then your speed sensor is probably going bad.

does anybody know where the speed sensor is on a 97' Neon DOHC 4dr auto. and also would that have something to do with the clicking and the door ajar light flashing ?

ok I found the speed sensor in my book but, would that have anything to do with the clicking noise, or the flashing door ajar light ?

well I thought they worked fine, they do pretty much, but the speedometer drops sometimes, and it makes a clicking noise, along with the door ajar light flashing...... Does anybody know what else it could be ?

it sounds like it comes right from the switch, is there a relay near there ?

the relay is in the dash. its sounds very close. if it was happening during the day, you probably didnt even realize your dome light flickers too.
i didnt know mine was doing it either (being that i keep the radio loud enough to overpower the sound of the relay) until i was driving at night one time and i hit a few bumps... at first i thought the guy behind me was Flashing me!! but it was my dome!!! lol!
