RTV can be used in moderation and use only where specified. On any water fixture such as a water pump no biggie just use right away. THis is because it is the water vapor (moisture) in the air that actually set and if you have a bead on the outside squished out you can set it FAST with a sprayer full of water and get it wet. At dealer ships only about an hour or so then fill 'er up and let 'er go for he other liquids. Should be no big deal. I fyou have time say it is you race car or you have a second ride and not a big deal letting it set overnight. Happy Motoring.
